My friend Sarah and I watched North Country tonight. It was really moving, I thought. A prominent film scholar at our university didn't care for it. Neither of us are really sure why. We wondered on whether it was because he wasn't a woman, wasn't from northern Minnesota, or wasn't involved in union issues.
Highly recommended.

I could also have something to do with the fact that he could neve, in a million, jillion years of wildest dreams coming true, sleep with Charlize Theron.

Movies are very personal and I don't believe any one person can tell another that it was good or bad outside of his oppinion.

Try telling that to the film studies people! :) That kind of attitude will get you a poor grade for sure! (It did for me, anyway!)
